Component on a SDTV will always work with PS1 games. It's HDTVs where the answer varies depending on what your TV does with the data it gets. PS3 upscales the PS1 games to the native resolution you have set on the PS3 settings, but the PS2 lets the PS1 games signal a video mode that is non-standard.

HD quality it certainly isn't, but using component or RGB on the PS2 will outdo RF , composite and S-video in picture quality. seems to me like its a pretty rubbish cable. 9 years ago
